I love this, as much for your style as the story itself! I had the same discovery when I joined, of all things, a pole dance group in Florida. The women ranged from ages 22-75 and the 75 spitfire was our own Hilda. It was a pole dance class but it sometimes felt like a women's circle, where everyone came to lift their moods, chat, and check in with each other. I also didn't realize how important these connections are until I found some. Great story!
