Yes! I'm an American in Germany and I noticed this recently. I also noticed the "inconvenience" of having to wait longer at restaurants because there isn't the same service culture in Europe. But over time, I actually started to enjoy it in an odd way - I have to slow down, enjoy my meal, and not plan to rush off to somewhere else after. It's been a really nice perspective shift
